I'm trying to get through the orientation part on canvas and my quizzes are locked. I have to get through that to continue on my online course. Help

Hmmm, are other participants in your course experiencing the same thing?
Perhaps you could contact your instructor and let them know, they might have made an error in the set up of the course, or they can assist you with where you have got stuck.
You could use the Inbox to ask them How do I send a message to a user in a course in the Inbox as a student?
