After setting up a new course and publishing it, I can no longer access it because I get the error message that my membership has not yet be activated. How is that even possible, and how do I get activated?

Hi Kona,
The issue is resolved now. Apparently I was added to the class as a
student at some point and so I couldn't access the site until I accepted
the student invitation even though I was also the instructor. There was a
long delay for the invitation to arrive in my inbox, but once I accepted it
everything was back to normal. Thanks for getting back to me on this
though.

adbarnes@vt.edu, I've been using Canvas as an admin and instructor for a while and have never seen or heard of that error. I'm wondering if it's something specific to your Institution? My recommendation is to contact your Institution specific Canvas support to see if they can help. If you're not sure how to do this go to your course and that error message, click on the Help link (top right in Canvas) and "Report a Problem."
