Not visible in student files?

What does the notation "Not visible in student files" and I do I make it visible?

Hi  @kristie_fitzger  Welcome to the Canvas Community. There is a great overview of that feature here: How do I restrict files and folders to students in Canvas?  To directly answer your question, as that online lesson points out, it means that students will see the file if you link to it from elsewhere within your course site, but it is NOT visible if students head directly to the Files menu item to see it.  (A good reason to also use the Student View from time to time!)

To change that, just click directly on the eye icon in the FILES area and you will get a menu where you can change it to Publish or even schedule a specific date.
