Notifications not working

Since the school year has started, I haven't been receiving any email notfications about class announcments, grades, etc. like before. In my settings it says that Canvas was unable to send emails to my email address. How do I fix this? Also, I was told that Canvas also sends notifications on the app but when I try to enable it, it says that push notifcations are not enabled for this device. I have a Samsung. Do push notifications not work for these phones? Thank you!

You will need to make sure of two things:

  1. Push notifications are turned on for the Canvas Student app through your phone's settings
  2. You need to turn on notifications through the web:
    1. How do I set my Canvas notification preferences as a student? 
  3. Or the app:
    1. https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-9576-18555333857 

Try this out and let me know if you have better results. Thanks.
