Can I be notified of changes to the course calendar via text message?

Some time ago, Instructure (the company that makes Canvas) retired many of the notifications that you used to be able to get via text message to your cell phone.  The only two cell phone text message notifications you can now configure are for course announcements and grades.  This is covered in the section called "Set Text Notifications" in the following Guides:
