Opening a downloaded course file

I have downloaded a course but every time that I try to open the downloaded file I get an email with an attachment. When I try to open the attachment I get an identical email. How do I open these imscc files/

If you want to see the files included in that *.imscc file, you can try changing the file extension to *.zip instead. Then, you should be able to unzip the file to view the files and folders in it. This is covered in the blue box at the top of this Guide:

Just know there may be some folders with really long strings of letters and numbers, but I don't think there will be files in those folders that you'll really need. There should be some other folders that have the content from your course, though.
