PDF not showing up in the DocViewer in SpeedGrader

I have a student who submitted a PDF file for his test today, but unlike all others I cannot view it in the DocViewer where I write on it for feedback. I can download it but that doesn't help me if I want to write on it. Any advice? Is his PDF saved in an incorrect format? TIA

Hello there, @djjeffreys ...

You indicated that the PDF file was part of a test submission, yes?  If this is the case, the DocViewer within SpeedGrader is not available for quiz submissions.  There really isn't much work being done on current Classic Quizzes in Canvas...as development continues on New Quizzes.  That being said, there are a couple Feature Ideas I've found here in the Community that may be of interest to you:

If you feel that either or both of these align with something that you'd like to see implemented in Canvas, I would encourage you to post a comment to each topic letting Instructure engineers know why this would be important to you.  You also might want to "rate" each of these with a star.  How do idea conversations work in the Canvas Commu... - Canvas Community
