Posting youtube videos at specific start times in the video.

When posting a video from youtube I want to be able to start videos at a time stamp of my choosing, which is really easy to do.  All you have to do is click on "share" below the youtube link and click on the box that says "start at" and then put in the time or just have the video at the time you want and the seconds will automatically be there.  

The problem is it doesn't work for Canvas.  Every video starts at the beginning.  

Does anyone know if Canvas is working on this?  Surely there are many teachers that would like this to work so I would think it would be a popular request.

I just tested out your process in my own sandbox course.  Unfortunately, I was unable to replicate what you are experiencing.  I harvested the embed code for this video (I'm a board game fan):

onto a page in my sanbox course.  I also chose a specific time within the video that I wanted it to start ... such as 2:35 minutes in.  When I saved the page, I pressed "Play" on the video, and it started just where I wanted it to.  I even went back into the editing side of the page, went to the HTML code, and changed the number to start it later in the video.  After I saved the page again, it started at the new spot where I told it to.  Here's the code:

The "start=155" bit is where you can change the time...155 is in seconds = 2 minute 35 seconds.
