When submitting a question to the forum, any initial submission or reply entered in the text box regularly produces an error, and text cannot be recovered.
This occurs even though the message below the text box says, "your content was last auto-saved at xx:xx time..."
The work-around so far is the same for my student submissions in Canvas' text editor: write your work in a different LMS, then paste it here. Which begs the question. Why do we need this LMS?
I've had three major functionality issues with text submissions in Canvas --mostly with my student's submissions, and this just another brick on the pile. Why can't Canvas handle text? It's text... Not video... Not music... Not sculpture... Not sign language... T-E-X-T that spells TEXT.

Not sure what this solution is meant to accomplish --deleting something within Canvas?
My original post references trying to add or reply to a question to this forum. This regularly produces an unrecoverable error, so I have to compose text elsewhere, and paste it in here.
