Quiz "Build Mode" and "Submission Type"

I've created a final exam. Two questions:

1) It is stuck in "Build" mode.  How do I move to the next step?

2) The "Submission Type" is locked on "External Tool" , which is incorrect, and I can't edit it.  How to change Submission Type?

By chance, are you using New Quizzes (rather than classic Quizzes)?  These video tutorials might help:

If you are using New Quizzes, there is no need to choose something different for "External Tool" because New Quizzes is technically an LTI external tool.  When you have finished building your quiz and it is ready for your students, Canvas knows how to display it properly for your students so they can take the quiz and submit it to you.  (Of course, there are settings you will want to configure such as the feedback, time limits, etc.)

I'm not aware of a way (maybe there is, but I'm' not 100% sure) to migrate a quiz from New Quizzes back to classic Quizzes.  I know the reverse is true, though.  How do I migrate a Canvas quiz to New Quizzes?
