RCE not working

Jump to solution

Hi,

RCE is working fine on the Pages, Quizzes tab but it's not working on the Discussions and announcements tab, RCE enhancements are on ALLOW currently, when I turn it ON it changes everything, I want it to work when RCE enhancements is in ALLOW state, can anyone look into it?

Hi there, @Kumar1 ...

I would agree with @JeffCampbell about reaching out to your school's local Canvas administrator.  Is Learners Edge using a self-hosted Canvas environment?  That may explain why your are seeing the old RCE (Rich Content Editor) compared to other Canvas customers who have their environment hosted by Instructure on the cloud.  Your course URL also appears to be different than what many of us are used to:

https://SchoolName.instructure.com  ...where SchoolName is your school name.

Keep us posted...thanks!

I cannot say why this is happening to you. Both Discussions and Announcements on my end show the New RCE instead of the Old RCE. The settings for the New RCE no longer show up on my end so I cannot see if there is a setting that might be causing your issue. You might reach out to whomever is your district administrator for Canvas to see if there is a setting you cannot see causing this.
