Record Video in Announcements

I've been unable to record a video in my announcements for students to view. I've attempted multiple times but get the spinning beach ball of death every time. It doesn't seem to be an internet connection issue. Any ideas on why it's stalling?

Hi Kelle,

We have been getting a lot of reports of people having trouble uploading video either to Canvas or into Studio.  It can be very difficult, especially in times like the current one when the Internet in general is seeing a huge increase in traffic, to isolate the specific point of failure.  One piece of advice I would recommend would be that if you are not already, rather than trying to record the video directly in Canvas via your web browser, instead record the video onto your local computer and then in canvas go to the media recorder tool in the rich content editor and attempt to upload from there.

My spinning ball of death was resolved by turning off my ad-blockers. 😄
