Saving Videos To discussion

I am trying to save my video to discussions and they won't post. My professor does not want attachments and I have been recording through canvas but they wont save?

Sorry to hear that all of you are having difficulties with videos.  While I am not employed by Instructure (the folks that make Canvas), let's see if we can eliminate some possibilities...

• Are you using an up-to-date web browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox?  In general, either of these two browsers are going to be your best options when navigating around the Canvas environment.  If the video is not working/saving in one browser, try it in the other.
• Are you using one of these Guides?
  • How do I record a video using the Rich Content Editor as a student?
  • How do I record a video using Flash in the Rich Content Editor as a student?
  • How do I upload a video using the Rich Content Editor as a student?

Thanks Chris for your quick response. After I made that post I found that

the video had been embedded. I think I have come to the conclusion that

this is just a bit slow (understandable with all the canvas traffic right

now!). The process I followed was:

1. Create video using media using rich content editor

2. Provide a name and hit ‘save’

After that, it was embedded. Not sure where the video ‘sits’ in the

background though.

It took probably 10 min.
