Why does Canvas not automatically save your work in text entry or when working on your modules? Many students and teachers have lost countless hours of work because of this issue. No one should have to save a Google Doc or upload a file, if text entry is an outline option. Please explain what can be done to rectify this issue.

Autosave is available in the New Rich Content Editor. How do I add and modify text in the New Rich Content Editor as a student?
However, not all schools have this feature enabled. It will become the "standard" soon as the official rollout by Instructure will happen later this year. If you'd like to start a conversation with your local Canvas Administrator, that'd be the best way to activate this for your school.
You mention auto-save for Modules. When do you see that as an issue? Often, those entries are short. I'd like to learn more!
