Once you create an assignment in your Canvas course, students would have access to it based on the following:
- Students are enrolled in the course.
- The course Start / End Dates in your course "Settings" are configured properly.
- The course is "published".
- The assignment is "published".
- Any "Availability" dates on the assignment (not required) are in the range that you want.
- If you have included the assignment in one of your course Modules, the module itself must also be "published".
