Start a New Course

How do I start a new course? My dashboard does not have a button that  says "Start a New Course"

Hi cpeters@dsdmail.net Welcome to the Canvas Community.

Our institution is set up in a similar way.

If you click on your Admin button (top left) then click the account that has an asterisk (*) next to it to create a new course. 

Sing out if you need a hand.

Thank you for responding so quickly! I do not have an Admin button either. My page starts with My Account...then my Dashboard...my district has a huge training next week and I need to create a course called Sandbox and download a template. Very easy directions to follow, excep that they start with “Start a new course” and I don’t have that button!

This will need to be attended to by your institution's Canvas Admin. We have a similar situation where class teachers automatically got the Admin button but others needed to request e.g. principals and those in leadership without a class. 

Wish I could be more help there.
