Storyline 360 content appearing as blank gray after latest Canvas update

I use a PowerPoint template to create all of my Storyline 360 presentations and then publish them as "Web" and use iframe tags to embed them into Canvas.

Without changing anything on my end, the content area is now appearing blank in Canvas on my recently published files, but appears normally when I view them from my local PC or from any "normal" web host. I looked back at some files I published last month and they are working normally in Canvas.

Nothing changed on my end between then and now. I am using the same PowerPoint template, the same fonts, the same publishing techniques, the same version of Storyline, etc.

The Storyline support forum suggested that there might be some new permissions setting in Canvas that is causing this issue. Storyline creates a "story.html" file which is the "main" file, and then adds several dependent files to the folder. When I send the files to Canvas, I zip them and then use the unzip feature when I upload the zip to Canvas. I am thinking that there might have been an update to Canvas that does not allow these dependent files to be accessed by the main "story.html" file, or something along those lines.

Please see screenshots below.

Here is the latest version.

Here is the version that I published last month and still looks fine:

Hello @mas ...

You aren't alone in expressing recent frustrations with Articulate Storyline 360 content that is being brought in (embedded) to Canvas courses.  In fact, here is a larger discussion topic for you to look at that you might want to consider participating in: Storyline 360 Content Not loading Properly.  While I don't have any solutions for you, I'm hoping that the link I've shared will be of some help.  Take care, and be well.

Thanks Chofer. I have checked that discussion, thank you. I was hoping to draw additional attention to the issue by posting my experience. Thanks again.

@mas ...

Glad you were able to find that posting as well.  Hopefully there will be some solutions in the very near future!

I just received a reply from Instructure support, which deflects the support question back to Storyline:

"Since Storyline is a third-party product we unfortunately are not able to provide direct support for the content but you may want to try re-uploading the presentation that is not displaying properly to make sure that the appropriate files are in the course.  If you have any additional questions please don't hesitate to let us know."

This is exactly the response that was hoping to NOT receive from Instructure support. This is clearly a Canvas issue since I am using the exact same version of Storyline and using the exact same processes as last month. The only difference is that there was a Canvas update between then and now.

I am still having the same problem I reported initially. Re-uploading does not help. The projects I had uploaded a month earlier are all working with no problem. It is a change I noticed in late August.  The only way I have found to get around it is to publish to google cloud platform and embed the link.
