Student Needs to Submit Multiple Assignments

We have a 1st grade student and we are relatively new to the Canvas world. In the previous year we experienced the multiple submission issue. When we needed to add multiple files or answers to an assignment it would ask us to "resubmit" the assignment. If we re-submitted an assignment before the teacher had an opportunity to look or grade the previous task, it deleted the first upload and replaced it with the new submission. A lot of duplicate work had to take place and a lot of waiting occurred. Now that we are in second grade, we are working on double sided worksheets and are needing to upload media files of each side of the worksheets. The teacher would like them to be photos and not a video so she can look at the work clearly, however the same issue is occurring. The 2nd media file is overwriting the first file. Any way to make this easier for us and the teacher?

I can certainly understand the frustration in not being able to see past submissions when your 2nd grader has submitted something to his/her instructor.  I have good news for you, though.  Even though students are only able to see the most recent submission, instructors are always able to see all submissions for a given assignment.  And, each of those submissions is time/date stamped so the instructor can see exactly when the student submitted it.  Check out this instructor Guide: How do I view the details of a submission for a student in SpeedGrader?.  As you can see from the section called "Evaluate Multiple Submissions", the instructor has complete access to all student submissions.
