Teaching a course in Finland from the US

I'd like to know if there are any issues with teaching a course from the US with students in Finland. Does Finland support Canvas? The school where I'm about to start teaching does not have Canvas, but if it's free for the students (i.e., them), they're open to using it, and if it's free for me, then I am, too! Just wondering if there are any things to look out for, obstacles, etc.

Thanks! And do you know if it's free for students and/or me as the instructor? They're willing to add it, but since they have their own platform, they'd only do it if there's no added fee.

on to the next issue: to add users to my course, do i need to go through the institution, or can i just set it up manually myself from my own personal account? also, do i need to send the students any kind of link for them to set up their own account? thanks!
