Text (no question) prevent rendering of quiz statistics?

The same exam in three different Canvas sites will not show quiz statistics. Get the error "We can't render statistics for this quiz, but you can download the reports." In each course about 35 students took the quiz. The quiz has 54 questions. The exam did have Text (no question) as text headers.
In another thread, someone mentioned that the same happened in her quiz. It was below the threshold for number of students and questions. The exam did have Text (no question) as text headers.
Is there an issue with Text (no question) preventing quiz statistics from displaying?
