Trouble loading YouTube videos

I have been loading YouTube videos using the YouTube tool within Canvas for a while now, but recently it isn't working. When I have a content page I can embed one YouTube video, but then I try to embed a second one and the YouTube just spins. I have tried going out of the course and then coming back into the course. I think the only thing that works is restarting my computer. I am sure there is some setting I'm missing. Please help.

Thank you,

Jane

Hi,  @lanceja  browser are you using?  Please make sure you are using Google Chrome and it is the most recent version.  Please give this a try and let us know what happens.  Thanks!

I am using Google Chrome. I did clear my cookies and cache and that helped,

but I cannot clear my cache and cookies every time. I am sure there is a

setting in my cookies that needs to be adjusted. I just don't know what it

is.

Thank you,

Jane

Hello @lanceja ...

Another option you might try when embedding YouTube videos in content pages of your course would be to grab the actual embed code from YouTube.  Here are the steps:

  1. Navigate to the YouTube website.
  2. Search for the video you want to include in your course.
  3. Follow the steps under Embed a video.
  4. In Canvas, place your cursor where you want to embed the YouTube video.
  5. Follow the steps in How do I embed iFrame videos using the Rich Content Editor as an instructor?.

I hope this extra bit of information will be of help to you.  Sing out if you have any other questions...thanks!  Take care, stay safe, and be well.
