User Role changed; Assignments lost

I changed the user role of some students to TA before downloading the assignments he/she had submitted. It seems that shift caused the assignments to be deleted. How can I recover their work/submissions?

Hi  @asterling  Welcome to the Community! We're glad you're here. Smiley Happy

Have you tried changing the role back to student and then re-downloading? If the data doesn't seem to appear after doing that, then I'd contact Canvas Support to see if they can pull any of the missing data for you. You can Call them or Email using the https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-12877-4152719652?sr=search&searchId=0f46cb42-5d62-43ed-af7b...‌ guide for more info as well. Smiley Happy

I'm going to go ahead and share this with the https://community.canvaslms.com/groups/higher-ed?sr=search&searchId=884903a5-401a-40ac-8488-8f1dbb64...‌ and https://community.canvaslms.com/groups/k12?sr=search&searchId=8b2a6bcc-3435-4f04-9718-e07809048abd&s...‌ spaces for more exposure.

Thanks, Roxanne!
