Video Shows Up on Laptop, But Not Mobile App

Hello everyone,

I uploaded a video I made for my students using Canvas on a browser on my laptop. However, after saving and publishing the discussion page where the video is located, I can't see the video when I go to the same discussion page on the Canvas Teacher App (see screenshot below). My worry is that my students won't be able to see the video either if they are using the Canvas Student App. Is there something that I am missing?

The video shows up just fine on when accessed on a laptop or desktop. But, it is missing when I try to access it via the Canvas Teacher app. Thank you for your help!

I figured out a solution, though it is not the most ideal solution.

If I host the video I created on a cloud storage service like OneDrive or Dropbox (or a video hosting website like YouTube), then you can share a link to your video and paste it in Canvas for students who are on mobile devices. Then, they can still access the video even if it doesn't show up on the student app. Just make sure to turn off editing capabilities. And, make sure you know what your district's policies are about using a video hosting website like YouTube.
