Weight Modules/Assignments

Is there a way to weight categories (Modules) Quiz = 20%, Assignments = 45%, etc.?

Hi  @gary_bergreen 

You cannot weight modules, because weighting is actually a gradebook function (even though you set it up under Assignment), and modules are not graded content.

To do what you are asking you would..

  1. Create Assignment Groups. Groups can be named for assignment types (your example would be Quizzes, Assignments, etc.).  How do I add an assignment group in a course?   Then,
  2. Weight the Assignment Groups (your example would be Quizzes = 20%, Assignments = 45%, Etc.). How do I weight the final course grade based on assignment groups? then,
  3. Drag-n-drop your graded content into the appropriate groups.

It does not matter what modules the assignments are in, they will carry the weight you applied.
