When looking at the Course Analytics for student activity by date, what constitutes "participation"? If they click on a link on a page to watch a video or online lecture, will that trigger a participation? Or is it only something like a discussion or assignment? In our online/blended courses, we are trying to figure out how to tell is students are viewing the online lectures.

According to https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10299 usually "participation" is something that involves an action on part of the student (beyond just viewing a page).
