Why in my dashboard canvas. When i click courses is listed all my classes but yet is saying on top that im not registered.

Hi  @sturgillj327451 and welcome to the Canvas community. You've actually posted your question to a worldwide community where users from different institutions discuss their experiences of using Canvas. This means that members of the community don't have access to Canvas courses from individual schools/colleges so we can't check why you can't get into your courses. There are a number of reasons why you might get an error message when trying to access Canvas or a particular course, and this is something that your teacher or the technical support team at your college will be able to help with. I can see from your email address that you're a student at North Central Texas College and a quick search of their website tells me you can get technical help here: https://my.nctc.edu/ICS/Need_Help/

Hi  @sturgillj327451 ‌, thanks for your question.

I haven't seen this behaviour in Canvas myself. Just to be clear, when you click 'all courses' you see all of your courses. But you have a notification on your dashboard that says you have not registered - yet. Is that correct? 

My fellow Coach  @Chris_Hofer ‌ has offered this advice to others in a similar predicament:

Every school that utilises Canvas as their LMS (Learning Management System) has their own policies and procedures in place as to when you will get access to your courses in Canvas (after you've registered through your school).  For many schools, their local Canvas administrators have implemented a scheduled process that runs several times a day to automatically enroll instructors/students from the school's SIS (Student Information System) into Canvas.  For other schools, instructors are responsible for enrolling students in their courses.  It really depends on how each school has chosen to do this.  If you are unable to see your courses, I would recommend that you reach out to your school's local Canvas administrator or their Online Learning department...as they would be the best ones to help you with this question.  Also, there is this document here in the Community which may help answer some general questions for you: Why can't I access my Course as a student?
