You can edit assignment comments from the Gradebook's Grade Detail Tray for that student as described in https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-26339-how-do-i-leave-comments-for-students-in-the-gradebook Keep in mind, however, that students who have set their notification preferences to "Right Away" for assignment comments will have already received an external notification containing the text of the first, unedited comment.
