how do i copy a file to another course

I want to copy a file for my class. It is in a Handout Module. I want to copyit to another class.

How do I do it?

Do you mean transferring content from one course to another? You may use the built-in import tool.

If you are the teacher for both course, you may just simply "copy a canvas course" as the content type which will basically allow you to search the course where you will get the materials from.

Else, use "canvas course export package" but it requires the teacher from the source of the course to export the package to allow you to import it to your own course.

In addition to the information you received from @manuelgarciaph, I would also recommend you read through: How do I select specific content as part of a course import?.  Following these instructions, you can copy a specific file from one course to another.  Just be sure that you are logged into the course that you want to copy the file into ... not the course where the file currently exists ... as you follow these directions.
