how to get out of dashboard notifications

when i'm in the dashboard normally all my classes show up so I can click on them but if you click show all for the notifications on the right side of the screen you can't get out

I've tried to find on my Dashboard where you are looking. There is no 'show all' or 'notifications' on the right hand side of my dashboard.
