infinite campus set up question

Infinite Campus (IC) has been synced to my Canvas, however, there are two class periods that are showing up twice.  I'm assuming it is because they are set up that way in IC, as there are multiple grade levels.  However, do the students get linked to the Canvas course as well?  My concern is that I will have to update and use two different canvas courses for one class period !!!  yikes!!!  Is there a workaround issue for this?
