I would like to add some biographical information about myself under people.  How do you do it?

 @tkoch ​, per this guide, your Institution has to have enabled profiles to add Biographical information - What are Profile and User Settings? If your Institution has this enabled, then this guide will show you how to add this information - How do I edit my Profile?
