publish master?

Jump to solution

Do I need to "publish" my master course before I copy it to a new course shell? I have "published" all the individual content in the course but not the overall course.

Hi  @rn4moms  Thank You for posting your question.  Your "master" course doesn't need to be published in order to copy content from it to your up-coming Fall course.  Publishing a course is meant mostly for student access...and since you most likely do not have students in your "master" course, there isn't a need to publish it.  Refer to https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-13030-415257126 (especially the blue boxed area) for information on publishing a course.  Hope this helps, Sharon.

Thank you that cleared up my question. So I don't publish the master course

since it isn't going to be accessed directly by students.
