Do students need a code to access or join their classes on CANVAS?

This really depends on how your school sets up Canvas enrollments, but almost all schools require login credentials - user name and password.

Could you tell us more? Is your Canvas course on a school account, or are you using the Free for Teachers version of Canvas. This will help.

From your email I learned that you are at Montgomery Public Schools, but their website is not playing nice with me, so I cannot tell if your district uses Canvas or not. If it does, then you should be able to get help on that site.

Hi Kelley,

My Canvas course is on a school account. I have a student asking for a code to join the class to check assignments. She says that she was not added to the class. I think the student may be using Google Classroom which does require a code.
