unable to login to canvas on app

Hi. I recently logged in to the Canvas app but only by using a numbered code (that was already there and predetermined, and it would not allow me to enter anything on my own) as my email. Now I am no longer able to log in, using "forgot password" does not apply seeing as I haven't entered my email, and I am super worried if anything should close on my computer too, in case I cannot log back in. Please advise how I can get ahold of IT...Thank you
