Day shown Sync from PowerSchool

Dear PS Support,

Could I ask if we can adjust the way that Day shows in Canvas?  The Day information is syncing from PowerSchool. But if Canvas show the name of Day Information instead of ID of Day Information. Is it possible?

You've posted your question in the global Canvas Community website where people from all over the globe can come to ask questions about the Canvas LMS (Learning Management System).  Unfortunately, this is not the correct location to be contacting official support from PowerSchool.  Although I know that there are schools that use PowerSchool in conjunction with Canvas, this would be something you'd need to contact PowerSchool about ... as the screen you shared doesn't look like any interface I've seen native to Canvas.  I did a quick Google search, and it came up with: Support - PowerSchool Community.  Hopefully this might be of help to you.  Good luck!

Maybe it is not so clear to ask the Expression shown in Canvas, Currently we can see canvas pick up students' schedule information from PowerSchool. could we adjust the way that expression shown in canvas?

Hi @huangs ...

Unfortunately, I am not sure how to answer this question.  This website (Canvas Community) is not the same as Canvas Support.  The Canvas Community is generally monitored by other Canvas Community members who help each other answer Canvas questions.  However, you will occasionally see responses from Instructure (the folks that make Canvas) staff.  The screenshot you shared originally doesn't look familiar to me based on anything I've ever seen in Canvas, so I would encourage you to reach out to the folks at PowerSchool since it is technically their interface ... not the Canvas interface.

@huangs That image/PDF is definitely from the PowerSchool system, not Canvas. It seems from your post that your SIS integration is showing this information somewhere in Canvas (whether it's in the course name, section name, etc).

If you need to adjust how Canvas is pulling information from PowerSchool through the SIS Integration (SIStemic/OneRoster), then you'll need to contact Canvas support (whether it's contacting your IT person and having them contact Canvas or if you're the IT person and you need to contact the Canvas SIS team) . Unfortunately we won't be able to help. The Canvas support teams have a better insight into the integration and can advise on what needs to be adjusted. Hope this helps!
