Intelligent Insights Permissions Now Separate from Admin Analytics

We're excited to announce an update to the Intelligent Insights permissions structure that makes it easier than ever to extend the value of Intelligent Insights to more users across the institution without compromising privacy and security.  Now you can give  the right people the right access to data, without overwhelming them with unnecessary information.

You can now grant your admin users access to specific Intelligent Insights modules like "Students in Need of Attention" and "Course Readiness" without also giving them access to the broader Admin Analytics suite.

With this permission structure, you can empower your staff—counselors, advisors, deans, principals, instructional designers, and others—with the targeted insights they need to do their jobs effectively, while maintaining data privacy and security.

Here's how it works:

Previously, to view any of the powerful dashboards in Intelligent Insights, a user needed to have the Admin Analytics permission, which gave them access to course and student data that did not necessarily serve them. 

With this update, you can now give users access to Intelligent Insights modules directly. All you need to do is:

1. Make sure the user role has the Intelligent Insights module permission and the Analytics Hub permission.
2. Do not grant the role the Admin Analytics permission.

When a user with this role goes to their Analytics Hub, they will see links to only the Intelligent Insights modules you've granted them access to. They will also see only the modules they have access to in the app’s top navigation bar. This streamlined view ensures they can quickly find the information they need to act, without getting lost in data they don't need.

This change is about making data more accessible and useful to the people on the front lines, helping them make more informed decisions to support students and improve learning outcomes.
