Videos reflect current feature functionality in Canvas; they are updated based on workflow changes, not on minor or non-functional interface enhancements. Depending on your institution's Canvas theme, the Canvas interface may display differently than shown in this video, but the functionality is the same.

How do I manage the courses that display on the Dashboard? You may have additional courses that you want to appear on the Dashboard, or you may have additional courses that are cluttering your Dashboard. To manage the displayed courses, click "Courses" in Global Navigation. Then click "All Courses" from the Courses tray. Favorite courses have a colored star in front of their name. Favorite courses are the courses that display on the Dashboard. Courses with a star outline are not favorites and will not appear on your Dashboard unless you have no course favorites. Click the star, or Favorite icon, in front of a course to favorite it. Students can only favorite active and published courses. Click the star (Favorite icon) to remove a course from the the Dashboard and course favorites. Click "Dashboard" in Global Navigation. Click "Dashboard" in Global Navigation. Favorited courses, the ones with the colored star, will appear on the Dashboard. Favorite Courses will also be listed in the Courses tray.
