What user roles and permissions are available in Elevate K-12 Analytics?
Elevate K-12 Analytics includes the Elevate K-12 Analytics Administrator role, which grants permissions to access all information and features in Elevate K-12 Analytics. Any user assigned the Elevate K-12 Analytics Administrator role can also impersonate other users and publish watchlists.
In addition to the Elevate K-12 Analytics Administrator role, you can create additional user roles that align to your staff's responsibilities within the school district. When a user is added to an Elevate K-12 Analytics account, they must be assigned a user role. The given role determines the features and data available to the user in Elevate K-12 Analytics.
You can view a list of all user roles in your account. You may also be able to create new user roles.
Scope Configuration
Elevate K-12 Analytics automatically identifies the subset of students available to the user as follows:
Scope | Student Subset Available |
All (No Student PII) | All student summary information but not detailed student information, known as personally identifiable information (PII) |
All | All student summary information |
School | Students enrolled at the school identified by the SchoolCode value in the User File |
Teacher | Students in classes taught by the teacher |
Grade Level | Students enrolled at the school identified by the SchoolCode value in the User File and enrolled in the grade level identified by the GradeLevelCode value in the User File |
Note: When viewing content above an assigned scope, users can view only summarized data. For example, a user with the academic scope of Teacher would be able to see PII for all students assigned to them. However, when viewing content at the grade level, school, or district, a user with Teacher scope would only see summary data.
