Item Detail Report

Item Detail Report

The Item Detail Report provides extended information about each item included on an assessment. The report also provides an analysis of how a group of students answered the item, including a distribution of selected answer choices.

Open Assessment Analytics

To access the Item Detail Report, click the Reports drop-down menu [1], and select Assessment Analytics [2]. (Refer to Accessing Assessment Analytic Reports for details.)

View Item Detail Report

The Item Detail Report includes Report Parameters [1] and data for the selected item [2].

To view a different report, click the Switch Report drop-down menu [3]. Select an option from the menu and click the Run Report button [4].

Select Report Parameters

In the Report Parameters section you can specify the student group for the report using the following filters:  

  • School Year [1]: Select the school year for the report.
  • District [2]: Select the school district for the report.
  • School [3]: Select the school for the report.
  • Teacher [4]: Select the teacher for the student group to view in the report.
  • Class/Section [5]: Select the class or section for the selected teacher.

To specify the student group for the report using the selected filters, click the Run Report button [6].

Click the Item drop-down menu [8], and select an item to view on the report.

View the number of tested students in the group [9].

To export the report as a Microsoft Excel file, click the Export to Excel button [7].

Note: To create a PDF, you can export to an Excel file and then save the file as PDF.

View Item Information

View the Item ID, the Question Number, and standards to which the item is aligned [1].

View the stem [2].

View each response choice and the percent of students who selected it [3].

View the correct answer(s) in bold [4] and the answer with the most responses in red [5].
