Forgive me if this has been asked and answered before, I can't find a direct answer anywhere.

If grades are hidden (as a course and / or assignment posting policy set to manual) are students able to see any feedback annotated on submissions using the doc viewer?

i.e. a student has submitted an assignment, an instructor/teacher has provided written annotation / feedback on the doc viewer (not in comments). Can the same student access their submission / feedback in the same way as with automatic posting of grades? Then, in theory and if still available, resubmit improved work.
