The layout suggested in the new assignment enhancements means that Rubrics are now displayed in a separate tab, instead of having it listed with the assignment brief - where students can easily view it before they submit work.

 

Rubric information should be available ahead of submission not just at the end of the process so that students know how to align their work with the assessment criteria.

 

It is also important that students view their assignment alongside the rubric, otherwise the student needs to flip back and forth between the assignment and rubric feedback to make sense of it. Whilst the current layout solves all sorts of problems in the mobile app, it complicates the web view.
