I date my modules by date.  So the first line of the Module is a Text reading, for example, as follows

"Week of Jan 18"

 

When I copy the course over from one semester to another, I have to go to each module, click on the Edit function (in the three dots) and edit the date.

 

I suggest you have a feature similar to "Edit Assignment Dates" but call it "Edit Module Dates".  This way, the dates of the modules could be changed all on one page.
