Can there be an option to re-scale students grades when the point total is changed?

The use case is if a assignment was set to 100 points original, students are graded and get 75/100 and another 100/100. The instructor then realized the total points was incorrect and changes the total points to be 4.

Currently if the instructor does not manual re-grade the students there will be a large extra credit (75/4 and 100/4).

What i would like is the option for the student points to be re-scaled to the new total points, so their percent score is the same (3/4 and 4/4).
