I love this idea! I would also like something under the assignments navigation to see a flag next to the name of the assignments that have teacher comments and have them be bold or highlighted or something until the student has viewed the feedback. Feedback is critical to student learning and growth, and finding their feedback within the LMS is more important than ever in DL since we aren't as easily able to provide verbal feedback during their learning process in this current model. I hope Canvas will consider expediting this idea given the circumstances!

This would be a game-changer, particularly from a student or PD view. It would add some of the functions that make Google Drives so easy to access and organize. I'd love a global search feature, but would also settle for a search feature within modules/pages.

This is what we are looking for, too! Particularly for advisory teachers who, in Distance Learning, are trying to flag at-risk students, and for special education and EL case-managers to be able to pull grades for all courses for individual students or - better yet - create a list of students they case-manage and pull grades in all classes for all of those students! It's the most requested feature by our special education and guidance staff!

Can someone share how you do this? I see it as resolved, but I can't figure out how to create a practice assignment that asks for a submission from students but DOESN'T create a column in the gradebook. Thanks for the help!

YES! This is a big issue - students will submit a letter or blank document. Then I can write a comment and ask them to re-do the assignment, but with the mastery gradebook the parent doesn't see a 0 score or anything. I want to be able to send it back to them to re-do and have it show as missing again, go back on their to-do list & back on the calendar.
