Group Set Names, Group Names and Confidentiality Can the students see the name of the group set? I know they can see the name of their group. I am wondering for differentiation purposes. |

The idea I wanted to propose was to add the rich text editor to Modules to add more options for how modules are used. To only have a Heading option greatly limits the Modules. I like to add some transition text to alert students to content items and that is not doable unless Pages (which I do like) are used. But, I agree with one of the other posters that having to open a Page and drill down to content is not always desirable. Anyway, back to my point...I decided to search to see if someone had already suggested adding a rich text editor to modules and eventually landed here. I agree with @WesModes that it seems as if suggested ideas are just throw in to a large pot and not sifted and sorted very well. Furthermore, as a new user of Canvas and a long time user of several other LMS platforms, I am really surprised that some of these suggestions are still pending as suggestions and have not been implemented. I am finding Canvas to be very rigid and limiting in how I would like to construct a course site. There are some very good suggestions for improving Modules...I hope I don't have to wait much longer for them to be implemented.

As this would involve deepening a third-party integration, Edpuzzle will need to be willing to contribute development resources, so please reach out to them to let them know that this enhanced functionality would be beneficial to you and your colleagues.

This is a good point. As of right now, Khan does allow districts to auto roster Khan Academy classes from a system such as Clever (which is in turn linked with the rosters on Canvas). I'm not sure what kind of data is used to create those accounts for students and whether it's enough to create hard connections between Khan Academy and Canvas.
There are unique IDs for Khan Academy users (known as the kaid) so there seems to be some infrastructure for tying accounts between the two systems especially if they were auto rostered.
I think what a lot of people are looking for is a way to import scores for exercises, quizzes, and tests and then a completion flag for videos and articles into a corresponding Canvas assignment. Again, the infastructure is already available on Canvas' side (their public API) but the Khan side is fairly closed off.

Hi @mchaus As far as I know, only the instructor, or anyone with a teacher role or higher, can see the name of a group set. Students only see their group names. Kelley
