My name is Dr. Marilyn Ponder, and I love to teach and learn. I have more than 20 years of experience working in the health care industry with a focus on operations, human resources, management development, and risk management. I hold a Doctorate in Business Administration; I also hold certifications in human resources ( SHRM-CP) and the industry of Ophthalmology ( Certified Ophthalmic Executive- COE), where I serve as a board member of the American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives (AAOE). Additionally, I provide consulting to help with the emotionally intelligent development of managers. I love when I can help people discover the leadership/management styles to be better leaders, which can lead to more positive work environments. I am a mother of 2 boys who are men now ( 27 & 30). I enjoy photography, hosting family gatherings, and lazy days at the beach.
