Thank you for the response. I've tried both Safari (my primary browser) and Chrome and I get the same results. I emptied caches before typing my original email. There is no preview in Canvas. Take a look at what I see with a test student submission I juste created using a student's motion graphics character video. Chrome is first, then Safari, then iOS. iOS is thinly one that gives me a preview and I can play it in place. I also tried your instructions and nothing changed. I followed similar instructions for Safari. I have content blockers disabled, and I have my Safari preferences to allow Auto play of media at this site domain.

Hello @TangierClarke Thanks for posting this in the global Canvas Community! I know that you can download student submissions a couple ways in Canvas. Downloading them from Speedgrader is one way, but this can take quite a bit of time since you have to do that one by one. One option is to do this from the gradebook. HERE is a guide on how to do that method. The other option is from the assignment page. HERE is a guide on how to do that. The guide for downloading them from the assignment page lists: Bulk downloads can be used for the following submission types: file uploads, text entries (displayed as HTML files), website URLs (displayed as HTML files), and Google Docs submissions. They also do mention that: Bulk downloads cannot be used for video file uploads. Hopefully this helps! -Colton

Glad you said that. I thought I actually enabled it already, but at that time I didn't really know how to determine the difference between classic and new because I started out with it recently and enabled many of the new options. So effectively I didn't know what to compare it to. Classic/new...was all the same to me.

Hello @TangierClarke Thanks for posting this in the Canvas Community. I am not super familiar with the field format validation you are able to use on Google Forms. However, I know that you can set up a 'Fill In Multiple Blanks' type question to allow them to fill in a date, and email address. The only issue I see with doing this with Canvas quizzes is that the quizzes will be looking for a Correct answer for the students to fill in in order to be graded. This means that you have to physically tell the question type what the correct answers are that it is looking for from the students. If you are still using Google Docs for this, you could try and share the doc into a page in your Canvas course. However submissions will be collected outside of Canvas on Google. The other option I thought of was to use a ungraded or graded survey type of quiz that will allow them to enter this information for the fill in the blank type question. You could then view the survey results after they have taken the quiz HERE is a guide on how to view the results. Hopefully this helps! -Colton
