Thank you for your prompt and verbose response. Here's why: * MSDE will NOT keep a copy of your certificate. To offer the course for free to providers we do not have or save certificates. Saving copies of thousands of certificates created in Instructure would require MSDE to charge participants for the course. You want a copy just in case you or your employer loses your certificate.* You will need to register for and complete the course again in order to receive a certificate of completion..."

Hello: Once we complete the Canvas' Maryland Heath and Safety course, unless you download the certificate immediately, there is NO PREVISIONS to download/print your course certificate later after course completion, notwithstanding the fact that this course is compulsory by the State as a condition of employment in a child care center. Canvas does not send the certificate of completion to the student's email address, just a link--which expires. This is a fundamental and egregious fatal design flaw as despite the fact that we have successfully completed the course, we are unable to get our rightfully deserved certificate of completion.
