How to set maximum points on a Quiz. I have a 3 question quiz I want to score as a maximum of 2 points. (ie. they get 0 pts for all 3 wrong, 1 pt for two wong, and 2 pts if they have either 1 wrong or zero wrong.) How do I go a... |

I've been there myself...where I've submitted a Feature Idea here in the Community that I think would benefit many people...but then it seems to go un-noticed for weeks, months, and sometimes years. But, at the same time, I've also submitted Feature Ideas that have been implemented in Canvas...some of which I didn't think would stand a chance of getting implemented. In fact, at the time, there wasn't much Community interest (that I could tell, anyway) in my idea, but yet it was still implemented.

Really? Can you give a couple of examples of features you suggested and they've added? I actually know of no features that I have suggested (most I'm pretty darn sure would benefit many people) that have been implemented....
We just had a faculty training session yesterday where some people found out that classic Quizzes are going away. Many were dumbfounded that such a thing would happen when many features have been "lost" or failed to be implemented in the new version... (no partial credit for matching? really?)
All I can deduce is that they need to spend more on programmers and possibly less on PR. That or some initial decisions on programming structure/implementation were poorly chosen, explaining the difficulty in implementing any new features.

Assigning individually is not a solution.
What if you have one person absent? I need to assign a quiz to a group (so that it grades it) but gives the scores to the group.... putting individual names in for every group assignment each time I have one is not feasible. (and I'd have to change the person if someone is absent...)
I would like to assign my quizzes to a group.

I'm often astounded by the poor programming and UI decisions by Canvas developers. Since it is "new" and I figure the old way of doing things would eventually go away, I thought I'd try to embrace the "New Quiz" style. I made the exam and went for it.... Never mind the fact that I have to "Bank" questions on a quiz if I want the program to select one or two out of several. (You could just put them all in a block in the old quiz program... now I'm being forced to put them all into "banks".. if every time I need to pick X out of Y choices I need a new "bank" I'm going to have 100+ banks flying around. It doesn't look to me that the current way of organizing these "banks" is up to the challenge of having that many different ones... Now I've found an error in one of my questions on an exam. Could I simply change it? Nope, since it was put into a "bank", it's no longer changeable. I've had about 50+ students take the exam. It's a formula question so going through and grading by hand is nigh impossible. (I need to go in for all 50 students and compute the right answer each time...) Uuggh... <vent off>

Nope. Still unable to do this. So, answered? but with a "no" rather than how?

I have a 3 question quiz I want to score as a maximum of 2 points. (ie. they get 0 pts for all 3 wrong, 1 pt for two wong, and 2 pts if they have either 1 wrong or zero wrong.) How do I go about doing this? (Essentially making anyone with all 3 questions right score 2 pts maximum...)
