How to find out when a grade has been released ? Now that Muted/Unmuted field is depreciated in the database, how I can find out if a grade is visible to a student based on the data only ? More specifically, how can I know when a submission's grade... |

I initially thought that submissions' posted_at timestamps would either be the same as the graded_at values, or some later date, identical for all submissions linked to the same assignment, representing the date-time when all grades are released to students. But I have found several cases where the submission_dim.posted_at date value is before any submission is even graded. I have also find cases where submissions have posted_at values over a year after these have been graded... Hence I am trying to understand the different types of event that can lead to populate the posted_at field.

Good morning Kona, and thank you very much for your quick answer. Indeed, the most obvious difference is the use of the mute button, which has now been replaced with another functionality. This surely affects the teachers' "grade releases" pattern, and, based on data only, I would like to learn how. But first I need to be able to differentiate between "old gradebook assignments" and "new gradebook assignments". When the muted button was used, I assume the assignment was linked to an old gradebook. But if it was not, then I cannot find any way to know what gradebook it was linked to. YET. Any ideas ?
